Thanks SITS ladies!

I have been chosen as the "Friday Favorite" today by the ladies at thesecretisinthesauce.blogspot.com and I'm so honored. I'm thrilled to have this forum to say hello to many new ladies out there and to share this passion of mine with you.

Ever since I was a little girl, my Grandmother and Mother instilled in me the importance of etiquette and manners. I remember my Mother always telling me that manners were never to make others feel as if they didn't know anything; their purpose was to make those in your presence feel welcome!
This is what I hope to accomplish with The Pink Teapot. Everything you want (and didn't want) to know about Etiquette. I'm quite new, only about three months, but I'm having a blast and my readers are the best! My most important jobs are as a wife and mother of four, and I love to "practice" on my family, they're so forgiving and patient with me! Janine

I think we were from the same Grandmother. I was lucky enough to have a lovely lady who sent me books on etiquette on a regular basis. And as a child many had a twist to help me remember that manners were important. Does anyone else know that you do not put your elbows on the table so you will not squash the table fairies????? Ok, I know that was an odd way to learn. Oh and I love your play list. It is worth coming here to at least listen to the fantastic songs. So many of my favs. And I arrived by way of SITS. Congrats on being in the Friday Spotlight!

Congratulations on being featured at SITS! I was tickled this year when my daughter informed me that everyone from her class last year had the best manners this year in the new classroom. She was quite proud of this, and she's in third grade:)

I Love your blog!! When my daughter's were 6 & 8 I enrolled them in an etiquette class. I took it as well. It was a 3 month course and we learned so much. They are young proper ladies now!

What a great site! I'm appalled by some of the manners I see nowadays, glad that someone's being proactive :-D

Congratulations! I love that there is a blog for etiquette...and that it's called The Pink Teapot!

I like that proper etiquette sets people at ease but doesn't give them the impression they're being judged. I'm off to learn more!

Hello! What a nice blog. We're always trying to teach our kids good manners, and my son now tries to beat his dad to opening the door for me and his sisters. I'm sure you'd approve ;-)

I must apologize to those of you who have already read this post...I made a rather large typo. I had said that my "Grandmother" was the one who taught me that manners were meant to make others comfortable, and it was my Mother! I am so sorry for the confusion...and I apologize to my Mom...I love you mom! Thank you.

What a neat concept for a blog. Thank you, if only I could become a better thank you note writer, that's my huge flaw in the manners department.

I'm thinking that I could bring my children to your site at least once a day - our own personal Dr. Laura phone call to resolve our issues! Awesome idea!
If that's not saucy I don't know what is!

Great blog! I wrote a post on my blog about what to do and what not to do when visiting or supporting a cancer fighter. I felt it was important to share that etiquette because certain things made cancer fighters feel better while others made their fight much harder. However, you cannot be "angry" with how someone acts/reacts if you don't inform them on what is acceptable and what is not.

Your site is unique and wonderful! Congratulations on being chosen as the Friday Favorite and I am glad you were cause now I can follow your blog too.

xoxo

You're blog is quite lovely and your advice is spot on. I love the post about saying thank you! I make sure to always personally thank store clerks and kind people who open doors for me. I can't tell you how many truly warm smiles I get.

Thank you for the reminders on how to be gracious to others.

I am so glad to find this--now if everyone else would. Maybe it is because I have a southern mother, but these things are second nature to me, and if one more person tells me times have changed and certain things are no longer required, I will have to take to my bed.

Things have not changed, people have. That is no excuse for being a rude person with no standards

I cannot wait to check out your blog. I have two daughters - 10 and 7 and trying to instill values and etiquette in them is challenging to say the least. I wish I could find a place to send them for "indoctrination" ;-).

You have such a great blog. My mom was big on manners as well, it is so amazing to see the way some people act.

I got married at 19 and that was a huge eye opener. The way my husbands family acted, I never realized how many people know nothing of etiquette.
